The 1974-75 DT250 was a case-reed, air-cooled two-stroke trail bike with twin rear shocks and drum brakes. It made usable power and was a quiet road cruiser with a top speed around 65 mph, but it was too heavy and soft to compete seriously off-road. It was the last twin-shock generation before the monoshock models.
